SERVICE LIFE TEST OF FUEL SHUT-OFF VALVE FOR THE ADM-20 MISSILE, (FORMERLY THE GA$-72),

Abstract

This test was initiated to determine the effects of operational service conditions on the useful life of the valve, Fuel Shut-Off Conax 3250A, Conax NOV-16SS-6A and Bleed Valve NOV-16SS-4A. The valves tested were shipped to OOAMA from the various locations where they had been in service. The valves were divided into three groups for temperature conditioning. The three conditioning temperatures used were -65 F, +75 F and +160 F. During the function test each valve was measured for bridge wire resistance and ignition delay. The average of the bridge wire resistance and ignition delay were well within specifications. (Author)
