DISTRIBUTED AMPLIFIER TUBES

Abstract

A description is given of the continuation of the research work conducted on a single tube distributed amplifier. The problems encountered and the solutions obtained which led to the present performance are described. The major improvements which have been made in the tube are: (1) increased anode dissipation capability; (2) increased screen-grid dissipation capability and stability; and (3) improved emission. These improvements, along with circuitry studies and modifications, have led to improvements in frequency bandwidth, power output, and power gain. Performance is given.
