EVALUATION OF RMSP TUNGSTEN SHEET.
Abstract
Forty-eight tungsten sheets in 0.010-, 0.020-, 0.060-, and 0.100-in. thichnesses were received during the week of 16 September 1963. Dimensional, visual, and dye penetrant inspections of the as-received sheet were performed, and the results were recorded for the serialized material. Several as-received sheets were to have been damaged in transit and these are described. Two 0.060-in. and one 0.020-in. sheets were found to be of questionable quality. The remainder of sheets shipped were considered to be of acceptable quality for conduction the acceptance tests and formability studies to determine material uniformity. (Author)
