RESEARCH ON COMPLEX FUNCTION THEORY

Abstract

The Nevanlinna characteristic of the derivative of a meromorphic function quasibounded in the unit circle is studied, and also a contribution is made towards the elucidation of the comparison of the characteristic of an entire function with its maximum modulus. Solutions are given to two of the problems raised by members of the Colloquium on Classical Function Theory at Cornell University, 1961. Finally proofs are given of a theorem on lacunary Fourier series, improving a result due to Tomic, and of a theorem on rearrangement of series, related to a result due to Agnew.
