ANECHOIC CHAMBER EVALUATION STUDY,

Abstract

Presented is an appraisal of experimental and analytical techniques proposed for evaluating the electrical performance of radio frequency anechoic chambers. Using these techniques, an estimate of the performance characteristic of a particular chamber is made. The particular anechoic chamber which is examined employs absorber baffles transverse to the main axis of r.f. progagation to suppress reflections. In estimating performance, the chamber is considered as the test environment for measuring the radiation patterns of low- gain antennas. Experiments performed were based on measurement of the total fields within the cha and measurement of antenna patterns. (Author)
