A STUDY TO IMPROVE THE LOW-LEVEL METEOROLOGICAL SIMULATOR.

Abstract

The major activities during the reporting period were primarily restricted to the wind-up of formal data-collection efforts from the Dallas Tower Network and the de-commissioning of all the stations of this network except stations A and B. Summarization of the specifics of these efforts as well as related research tasks are reviewed. These include wind-sensor evaluation tests; a study of the exchange coefficients relationships for momentum, heat, and vapor, and a study of the use of soil heat plates as direct fluxmeasuring devices.
