UNCLASSIFIED DATA ON THE NUCLEAR INDUSTRIAL BASIS OF NUCLEAR MILITARY POWER,

Abstract

By its intention, this paper might bear title, What the Intelligent Citizen Properly May Know about the Nuclear Industry, as the Basis of Nuclear Military Power, without Recourse to Classified Information. This exercise on the unclassified data has turned out to be strikingly similar in the problems arising from imperfect data, approximations, etc., to studies in the economic history of England in the 18th and 19th centuries. It shares all the problems of using the available data to seek the significant conclusions, with method devised to fit the data situation, rather than with data provided to fit the given best methods.
