CRYSTAL UNITS WITH IMPROVED TEMPERATURE CHARACTERISTICS.

Abstract

In attempting to fulfill the requirements of SCL-6609, three different techniques are being evaluated as a means of compensating an AT oriented resonator. Again, most of the effort has been concentrated on the Electronic Compensation approach with ten experimental models completed during this quarter. A procedure for deriving compensation network design data, utilizing a computer, has been developed to eliminate trial and error methods of determining component values. Thermal response characteristics of electronically compensated units are also discussed briefly with initial results presented. In addition, progress during this quarter on the External Force Compensation Temperature Variable Capacitor Compensation techniques is described herein. (Author)
