ON THE RELATION OF PASCAL'S TRIANGLE TO CERTAIN FUNCTIONS,

Abstract

Pascal's Triangle is a tabulation of all integers in an arrangement which permits formation of coefficients of the mth power of (1+x) by a process of summation. The present report shows that the numbers in the triangle are intimately associated with a wide variety of polynomials and functions. A tabulation of coefficients in terms of the numbers of the triangle is included as an appendix. (Author)
