EFFECT OF ULTRASONIC OSCILLATIONS ON ENDURANCE AND PLASTICITY OF BRASS,

Abstract

Ultrasonic oscillations cause simultaneous reduction in tenacity and plasticity of hardened brass. Ultrasonic oscillations cause a reduction in all characteristics of static tenacity of hardened brass, and a reduction in the function, necessary for destruction of the sample. Ultrasonic oscillations have practically no effect on the tenacity and plasticity of fired brass. (Author)
