PHOTOCONDUCTIVITY AND OPTICAL PROPERTIES OF SEMICONDUCTORS.

Abstract

Efforts concerned an investigation of the photoconductivity and optical properties of semiconductors. A study was made of the photoconductivity in N- and P- type GaSb. Spectral response was measured in the tempera ture range 300 degrees - 77 degrees K; some measurements were also made near liquid helium temperature. The results of this study are presented. A discussion is also presented on optical absorption of impurities in germanium. (Author)
