ATOMIC OSCILLATOR DEVICE FOR NAVIGATIONGUIDANCE.

Abstract

The first interim report covers the preparation of specifications and designs for the major subassemblies for a pair of experimental models of the ultrastable Atomic Oscillator Device for Navigation-Guidance. The purpose of the first pair of experimental models is to demonstrate a stability of =5 parts in 10 to the 14th power over the specified temperature range of minus 54 degrees C to plus 71 degrees C and over an input voltage range of = 20 percent. Later models are to be designed to meet the requirements for size (1/2 cubic foot), weight (40 pounds) and power consumption (50 watts). (Author)
