ON CERTAIN SERIES INVOLVING THE EIGENVALUES OF A STURM-LIOUVILLE OPERATOR,

Abstract

A direct method which avoids the use of Dikii's regularized sums of eigenvalues is presented for obtaining trace formulas for powers of a SturmLiouville operator. The method is applied in particluar to the first and second powers. (Author)
