INVESTIGATION OF DEPLOYMENT PROBLEMS AND ALIGNMENT OF THE AN/TSQ-47 EMS SYSEM.
Abstract
This report is concerned essentially with implementing the initial operating configuration of the AN/TSQ-47 system. It discusses he selection of sub-systems sites, the deployment of the sub-systems to the selected sites, and the set-up and alignment of the sub-systems at the deployed locations. In order to permit the use of this report as a self-sufficient document, brief descriptions are included of the major sub-systems, and of he major items of common equipments. The set-up and alignment of the sub-systems and common equipments then are separately considered. The appendix material in this report is concerned with supplemental microwave link material, and the applicable modular packaging principles that will improve both the operational and maintenance characteristics of the overall system.
