EFFECT OF PARAMETER ERRORS ON AERODYNAMIC HEATING OF AN AIR-TO-AIR MISSILE,

Abstract

A parametric study of the factors influencing the thermal response of a typical air-to-air missile airframe has been made. Possible errors arising from measurements of atmospheric conditions, aircraft performance, airframe thermal properties, and real-gas effects have been included. Each parameter is examined independently, and a comparison is made with an assumed reference case. The analysis is concluded by combining the individual effects. (Author)
