A SIMPLIFIED ANALYSIS OF THE SERIES-SHUNT FEEDBACK PAIR,

Abstract

A simplified analysis is presented of the seriesshunt feedback pair. It is shown that the use of a simple model for the transistors can adequately describe the behavior of the circuit, thus one need not use involved matrix nodal or mesh equations for such circuits. The analysis is experimentally checked and the results of gain and bandwidth show very close agreement with those predicted by the theory. The feedback pair circuits often find usage in amplifier circuits. These circuits are shown with the biasing and dc coupling circuitries omitted for simplicity. A shunt-series configuration or a current feedback pair and a series-shunt configuration or a voltage feedback pair are shown. (Author)
