CONTRACT TO PROVIDE TEST DATA AND PREFERRED TEST METHOD FOR RF CONNECTOR INSERTION LOSS MEASUREMENTS.

Abstract

A test method was developed to measure the insertion loss of connector pairs at any frequency in the range from 1 to 10 gc. Detailed recommendations are given regarding the test set and the measurement procedure. The insertion loss of Types N, C, and SC connector pairs was measured at 1, 3, 5, and 10 gc. The loss of Types TNC and BNC connector pairs was measured at 1 and 3 gc. The Type TPS connector pair was measured at 1 gc. Detailed data and a discussion of overall accuracy are given for these measurements. (Author)
