THE INVESTIGATION OF COMPUTER OPERATING TIME AND SYSTEM CAPACITY FOR MAN-MACHINE DIGITAL SYSTEMS,

Abstract

Metodological generalizations are made and an experimental point of view is developed for investigations of computer operating time and system capacity for man-machine digital systems. These generalizations are derived from a series of empirical studies on the relationship between SAGE computer operating time as a function of input load, and associated system capacity. The testing was conducted at twelve operational field sites involving approximately 700 military participants in a credible combat setting. (Author)
