SUMMARY VOLUME. - ATA DELAY DATA PROGRAM.

Abstract

A summary of the principal areas of delay experienced by airlines and airports in the United States is presented. The program involved the collection of airline delay data during April and May 1963 and the subsequent machine processing and analysis of the information. The purpose of the study is to provide insight into and interpretation of the size and complexity of the airline delay problem and form the basis for a recommended program of corrective action. To accomplish this objective, many different machine tabulations and analyses were made. (Author)
