PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE FOR CERAMIC FILTERS.

Abstract

Efforts were continued on the establishment of a PEM leading to a demonstration of production capability to produce ceramic electric wave filters having center frequencies above 1 mc at the rate of 100 units per eight-hour shift per day. Progress in fabricating miniature ceramic resonators is described. Techniques being developed during the design engineering phase are oriented toward a production operation. Results of the first packaging effort of a 1.75-mc, 17-resonator ceramic ladder filter are presented. The problems encountered are described. Also, a new packaging concept is described. (Author)
