MATERIALS INVESTIGATION SPUR PROGRAM. PART II. CREEP-RUPTURE PROPERTIES OF MO PLUS 0.5 W/O TI.

Abstract

The results of experimental investigations to evaluate the creep-rupture properties of Mo + 0.5 wt-% Ti are presented. Tests were conducted with specimens in potassium vapor and in vacuum at 1500, 1800, and 2000 F to determine what effect, if any, the potassium vapor would have on the creep-rupture properties of this alloy. The results of these tests indicate that potassium vapor is not detrimental to the creep properties of the alloy when subjected to the conditions of these tests. (Author)
