DENSITY DISTRIBUTION IN THE NORTHERN HEMISPHERE,

Abstract

Using Weather Bureau data, charts were drawn that illustrate the distribution of the mean air-density values over the Northern Hemisphere for winter and summer, as well as the distribution of one standard deviation of these mean density values for the same periods. Also included are air-density profiles for various stations, showing the percent deviations from the 1959 ARDC model atmosphere of the mean and the 3 sigma deviation values of the air density.
