Abstract

This work deals with abnormal grain growth in aluminum and its alloys in the field of critical straining and thermal treatment. Material on the prevention of such growth by 'seeding' aluminum alloys with intermetallics is included, as is material on other new prevention techniques. The period covered is from 1950 through May 1963. (Author)
