DESIGN, DEVELOP, AND EVALUATE A HIGH-POWER INTEGRAL CIRCUITED TETRODE FOR 215 MEGACYCLE OPERATION.

Abstract

The subject program encompassed the design, development, and evaluation of a high-power integral circuited tetrode. The original program objectives called for the achievement of 825 kilowatts peak power output over a 10% frequency band, the delivery of one tube of a stabilized design and one tube of the finalized design. Environmental tests were to be performed on the final tube. The program objectives were revised per Modification Number 3, dated 3 April 1963, to delete the requirement of environmental testing and to revise the delivery of tubes to three of the finalized design embracing features of shock and vibration. The performance characteristics for each of the three tubes delivered under this contract are discussed in detail. (Author)
