AUTOMATED AVIATION STORES INVENTORY CONTROL AND ACCOUNTING AFLOAT.

Abstract

The Aviation Stores System (AVIA) computer program system is an automated aid to the inventory control of all items, regardless f cognizance symbol, carried in the stock records in the Aviations Stores Division (S-6). It provides a computerized stock record file of all items within the S-6 division, and consists of computer programs which create, maintain, and report on information held in that file. The AVIA system is designed for operation on the AN/USQ-20 computer system in the configuration specified for NTDS use. The general method of file maintenance can be described as a 'commercial update' technique. That is, new information is merged with the old in forming a new tape file. For routines where no merging takes palce, a new tape file is not generated. (Author)
