NTDS LOGISTICS PROJECT FOR AVIATION STORES.

Abstract

The aviation Stores (AVIA) computer program system is an automated aid to the inventory control of all stock records in the AVIA Stores Division. This system was designed for use in the AVIA Stores Div. aboard any ship equipped with the NTDS, AN/USQ-20 computer. This system provides a means of automated posting of all issues and receipts of material, and stock list change information to the balance records. Minor financial record keeping outputs to assist the supply officer in maintaning dollar value ledgers of material are a by product of the system. The programs are complete to the point where they could be used for a parallel type test and evaluation or feasibility test process. However, they are not complete to the point where they could serve as the only means of stock records and inventory control for ships aviation stores records. (Author)
