PERCENTAGE POINTS OF THE RATIO OF RANGES OF SAMPLES FROM A RECTANGULAR DISTRIBUTION,

Abstract

Tables are given of the upper percentage points of the distribution of the ratio of the ranges of samples from a rectangular population. The ranges are from samples of sizes 2 to 15 inclusive and the percentage points given are those corresponding to upper tail probabilities of 0.10, 0.05, 0.025, 0.01, and 0.005. Values are given to five decimal places. Comparison is made with the corresponding percentage points of the distribution of the ratio in samples from a normal population. (Author)
