ENGINEERING EVALUATION REPORT OF THE 45-KW, 400-CYCLE, GAS TURBINE-ENGINE-DRIVEN GENERATOR SET, AIRESEARCH MODLE GTGE 70-6,

Abstract

The engineering testing and evaluation of a 45-kw, 400-cycle, gas turbine-engine-driven generator set developed by AiResearch Manufacturing Company of Phoenix, Arizona, for use in the Sergeant Missile System and as a member of a family of multipurpose prime power packages is reported. The report concludes that the 45-kw, 400-cycle, gas-turbine-engine-driven generator set will be suitable for field use by the Army and for use by the Sergeant Missile System after certain minor deficiencies have been corrected.
