PRELIMINARY ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION OF ANALYTIC PLATFORM SYSTEMS - FY 63,
Abstract
Of the numerous instrument schemes devised for the analytic platform, five were selected for analysis. After preliminary analysis, it was determined that an analytic platform using state-of-the-art components was feasible for missiles having a range of 300 nautical miles or less. Appendix A contains equations for the Kinematics of Rotating Co-ordinate Frames and demonstrates several methods of co-ordinate transformations including the use of Euler angles, the four parameter representation of quaternion and Cayley-Klein parameters and a vector representation of the missile's velocity vector. Appendix B contains tables showing error sources, trajectory parameters and instrument orientation as determined during the analysis. (Author)
