STATISTICAL TEST PLAN FOR EVALUATION OF FLASHLIGHT-SIZE MANGANESE-ALKALINE-ZINC BATTERY,

Abstract

A statistically-designed electrical test program was devised to determine shelf life, amperehour capacity and reliability of manganesealkaline-zinc batteries in connection with the XM61 Demolition Firing Device for the XM24 Anti-Tank Mine being developed by Picatinny Arsenal. This report discusses a statistical test plan to be used for evaluating the battery during the Production Engineering Measure Program -- evolved by Picatinny Arsenal and Signal Corps personnel.
