USE OF THE AN/DPN-66 TRANSPONDER IN A RANGE CALIBRATION SATELLITE.

Abstract

The AN/DPN-66 C-band transponder was tested for operation in a Range Calibration Satellite, the prime function of which is the calibration of C-band tracking and instrumentation radars at AFMTC. The electromagnetic compatibility tests showed compliance with the requirements of MIL-I-26600. Life-altitude test results were favorable, with all significant problem areas resolved. (Author)
