IMPLICATIONS OF RECENT INVESTIGATIONS ON RUNWAY ROUGHNESS CRITERIA,

Abstract

Results obtained from recent National Aeronautics and Space Administration investigations of runway roughness are discussed. These results are used to assess the adequacy of runway roughness criteria based on power spectral density techniques. In addition, an analytical method for studying repairs to unsatisfactory runways is described. (Author)
