DEVELOPMENT OF AN X-BAND CW CROSSED-FIELD AMPLIFIER.

Abstract

Linear models of two types of slow-wave structures appropriate for constructing a tube capable of meeting power and bandwidth specifications have been evaluated at cold test. Major emphasis has been placed on establishing the network pass band between the frequency limits of 6 gc and 12 gc. Of special interest is the fact that an interdigital line design with improved electronic interaction impedance and thermal characteristics in comparison to that of the conventional interdigital line has been evaluated.
