CAION SATELLITE SYSTEM STUDY.

Abstract

This report summarizes the results of a study program conducted on the primary features of a calibration satellite system for the calibration of the AMR tracking instrumentation. It considers the general requirements for the satellite, booster, tracking stations, ground station equip ment, as well as all operational requirements including digital computer programs and data links necessary to effect a calibration. The major study areas covered include planning stud ies, calibration ground system studies, orbit and trajectory studies and satellite equipment stud ies. Recommendations for future efforts are also provided. (Author)
