SORPTION OF HYDROGEN BY GLASSES AND CERAMICS.

Abstract

A device was built to permit the observation of infrared spectra using reflection techniques. A device was also built to permit the estimation of the concentration of hydrogen atoms formed by a gaseous discharge. Preliminary experiments on the uptake of hydrogen by BeO and infrared spectra of BeO samples are described. Preliminary experiments on the uptake of hydrogen by Al2O3 are described. (Author)
