Abstract

Reviews the reasons, methods, accomplishments and goals of the use of electronic data processing in the fields of correction and law enforcement. Suggest appropriate application and discusses problem areas. Concludes that electronic data processing will permit more effective use of the research, statistical and case history data in building a sounder theoretical base in the field of law enforcement.
