NEW CHEMICAL EXTINGUISHING AGENTS FOR ROCKET PROPELLANT AND METALLIC FIRES

Abstract

Fluoroalkyl esters of boric, phosphoric, silicic and sulfurous acids, boroxines and alkoxydifluoroborane trimers were prepared as possible extinguishants for metallic and/or exotic propellant fires. Their mode of action is to form an inorganic oxide coating on metals.
