GUIDELINES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF MISSILE FLIGHT SAFETY SYSTEMS.

Abstract

Guidelines are presented which will help decide the need for a safety system. The guidelines will be related to missile performance and test area conditions. Various mathematical methods and engineering considerations are discussed which are needed to meet any safety system requirement. These details will be related to the philosophies and policies that are practiced at the National Missile Ranges (AMR, PMR, WSMR) and will also be applicable to any range (test area), wholly or in part.
