ARDE-PORTLAND LITHIUM COOLED NOZZLE PROGRAM.

Abstract

A series of tests were conducted to determine the feasibility of cooling a solid propellant motor nozzle using liquid lithium as a cooling agent. Damage to the cooled nozzle was so severe that no concrete conclusions could be drawn from this test program. (Author)
