INTRINSIC PHOTOCONDUCTIVITY IN THE ALKALI HALIDES.

Abstract

Photoconductivity in thin films of RbI, KBr, KCl and RbCl was measured at temperatures of 10 K and 80 K. Photocurrents were stimulated by irradiating the sample in the fundamental absorption region with ultraviolet light. Saturation curves showing the dependence of photocurrent on the applied voltage were also obtained. (Author)
