TENSILE SHEET WITH SYMMETRIC EDGE CRACKS WITH LATERALLY CONSTRAINED ENDS,

Abstract

Conformal mapping techniques are applied to the mixed boundary problem of tensile sheet (with symmetric edge cracks) with laterally constrained ends. For applications to short test specimens in fracture mechanics, the stress intensity factors for the crack roots are evaluated for varying crack lengths for square sheet. (Author)
