ALGORITHM FOR NONLINEAR PROGRAMMING: RESOURCEALLOCATION METHODOLOGY,

Abstract

Optimal allocation of limited resources can be expressed as a mathematical programming problem when optimization is defined as the maximization (minimization) of a specified output function, subject to the resource limitations. A description is given of a method for solving a large class of nonlinear programming problems: i.e., resource allocation problems where one or more of the constraints or the objective function is a nonlinear function of the involved variables.
