INVESTIGATION OF THE OXALIC ACID CHEMICAL DOSIMETRY PROCEDURE FOR MEASURING GAMMA RADIATION,

Abstract

An investigation of an oxalic acid chemical dosimetry procedure for determining high levels of gamma radiation emanating from a Co-60 source, is described. The procedure recommended herein is accurate and easily performed with common laboratory equipment. It can be utilized for the measurement of gamma radiation in the range of 1.6 x 10 to the 6th power to 6 x 10 to the 7th power rads. (Author)
