MIGRATION OF ELECTRONS IN A SPATIAL-PERIODIC HELICAL MAGNETIC FIELD,

Abstract

An investigation was made of the migration of electrons in a magnetic field, obtained by the superposition of a longitudinal constant helical magnetic field and a transverse spatial-periodic one. With determined relationships among the longitudinal energy of the charged particle, the pitch of the helical winding, and the longitudinal and transverse magnetic fields there is observed a resonance redistribution of the energy between the energy of the longitudinal and transverse components.
