INFRARED COATING STUDIES.

Abstract

This report is in two sections and is concerned with the problem of enhancing the reststrahlen reflectance of evaporated LiF films by means of essentially non-absorbing dielectric layers. Section I contains the experimental results obtained by coating LiF films with films of germanium, and with film combinations of lead chloride and germanium. Section II presents computational results on reststrahlen enhancement. (Author)
