ON A DAMAGE MODEL FOR BOMB ATTACKS UNDER CONSIDERATION OF OVERLAPPINGS,

Abstract

The expected damage caused by bomb attacks on large areas is represented as a double integral for any geometrical shape and size of the target under mathematically rigorous consideration of (1) overlappings, (2) the fact that the damage done to a target point is a monotonically decreasing function of the distance explosion-target point, (3) density (weight function), and (4) hardening.
