REFLECTION AND TRANSMISSION OF PLANE COMPRESSIONAL WAVES,
Abstract
The energy partition of a plane compressial (P) wave impinging upon a plane interface is analyzed. The mathematical solution is presented and discussed with particular emphasis on the nature of the transmitted waves when the angle of incidence exceeds the critical angle. Extensive tables of data are presented which cover a wide range of the input parameters. The data is discussed and representative data samples plotted. (Author)
