LARGE SIGNAL THEORY OF AVALANCHE TRANSISTOR CIRCUIT OPERATION,

Abstract

The present study is concerned with the transient analysis of avalanche transistor pulse circuits from which fast current pulses are obtained. The transistor, when properly biased in the avalanche mode, is seen to exhibit a negative resistance at the collector-emitter terminals. The existence and significance of a reactive element associated with such negative resistance are thoroughly discussed. (Author)
