LIGHTWEIGHT RADAR TECHNIQUE PROGRAM. PHASE 1 STUDY.
Abstract
This final development report for the Lightweight Radar Technique Program follows the same general format as the monthly reports. However, all pertinent information is contained herein so that reference to preceeding reports is not necessary. Part I provides the detail information on all aspects of the study effort. It begins with data on parts and materials and then leads into discussions on each major unit and subassembly of the radar. This part concludes with the synthesis, evaluation and comparison of the three proposed radar systems. Part II provides recommendations for further study and evaluations from which a lightweight radar system of optimum design can be developed. This is followed by the Appendices which include a summary of manpower assignments, the program schedule, sample calculations, a list of other manufacturers who furnished data and other pertinent detail information supplementing this report.
