THE DESIGN OF BROAD-BAND TUNNEL DIODE AMPLIFIERS,

Abstract

An analytic method for designing broad-band tunnel diode amplifiers is presented. A stabilizing circuit is added to a basic double-tuned circuit in order to prevent out-of-band oscillations. Amplifiers were designed for 1-Gc and 2-Gc bandwidths at C band. Models were built with greater than 10-db gain and less than 5-db noise figure over a 1-Gc band. (Author)
